In New Zealand and Australia there is much that you can enjoy for free. Seals sleeping on the shore, albatross circling high over head, a swim in a quite waterfall, sunset over the clear blue ocean, a walk in a national park. These are things that anyone can enjoy so long as you travel at a relaxed enough pace to have time to enjoy them.
But sometimes there are things that you cant quite get to on your own. Here with the help of locals guides and experts, you can get out to special places where you are likely to be the only visitors that day. It may be a day walking in ancient rainforest with a Maori guide sharing their legends from their forefathers, maybe a private trip on private land to watch birds raising their young, a canoe trip through coastal waters watching seals swim.
We also offer a careful selection of excursions with slightly larger groups. This may be whale watching, swimming with dolphins or a day snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. In each case, even though the groups are larger, we have slected the options that give the most personal care and attention while having the lowest impact on the environment in which they operate.
We also offer selected multi day excursions in both Australia and New Zealand. This may be a safari through northern Australia or Uluru , a multi day walk in the mountains of New Zealand or a sailing trip through fiords or on the Great Barrier Reef. Usually this is part of a small group and the focus, as always, is about story telling, local knowledge and off the beaten track.

We are very proud to work in partnership with Te Urewera Treks and the local Maori of the Urewera region in New Zealand on a co-operative initiative to restore parts of the rainforest felled in the 1950’s. Its not a case of people making a donation and hoping some trees go in the ground. Instead you plant nine native trees yourselves, three of which will live for around 75 years, three for around 250 years and three will live for over 1000 years. Your contribution to New Zealand\'s nature will be standing proud for many future generations to enjoy.
