A beachside, island holiday house

Visit a tropical haven that showcases the Australian bush and beaches in style - Magnetic Island. Feel at ease wandering down quiet beaches, spotting koalas nibbling on eucalyptus or sailing the sparkling sea. The traditional owners of the island are the Wulgurukaba Aboriginal people - they call the island Yunbenun.

Captain James Cook re-named the island in 1770. The name was influenced when Cook believed the island had appeared to affect the magnetic compass on his ship. Magnetic Island also has a fort, constructed during World War II to protect the harbour.

Magnetic Island is home to more than 800 koalas. Keep a lookout for these cute and furry creatures! There are also over 25 kilometres of walking tracks to discover, an array of water activities to try and plenty of restaurants to taste! Or go snorkelling and discover shipwrecks.

You’ll stay in an air-conditioned holiday house, located in Horseshoe Bay. Directly across from the beach, this slice of paradise has all the essential components to enjoy the Queensland laid-back lifestyle. This open-living Balinese-style house is suited for up to ten people, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
