Australia holiday: Drift House

Your host, Colleen, welcomes you to Port Fairy

Uncover the history of a charming fishing village, Port Fairy, at the end of the famous Great Ocean Road. Historically, the coastline was used by whalers and seal hunters and was named after the crew of the whaler ship, The Fairy, in 1828. Check out one of the busiest fishing ports in Victoria and watch as the fishermen unload their fresh catch of the day.

Stay at an award-winning chic property. Located five minutes walk from East Beach. Your host, Colleen, warmly welcomes you to this historical house and is happy to share all her local insights with you. Spend your days going for long walks along the beach. Or cool off in the property’s swimming pool.

During your stay, be mesmerised by one of Australia’s finest dining experiences. The two-hatted fine dining on-site restaurant is definitely not to be missed! Here, you can savour a degustation menu which takes you on a journey across the southwest coast of Victoria. Plates with layered textures, ingredients that are respected and astounding flavours.

This colourful seaside town is arty too! Be sure to visit the large assortment of art, craft, antique and boutique stores scattered all around. Or take a bike and explore the treasures found in the area.
