Kayak through the wilderness of Doubtful Sound

Connect with nature and wilderness in the Doubtful Sound, during an overnight kayak adventure. Doubtful Sound is one of New Zealand’s most impressive nature reserves. Explore the hidden waterways, secluded islands and spot the variety of wildlife. Home to unique birds, seals, dolphins and rare Fiordland penguins.

Departing from Manapouri, you will cruise across Lake Manapouri to West Arm. From here, you will board a bus and drive over the picturesque Wilmot Pass to the kayaking base at Deep Cove. Paddle the calm waters of the Fiordland National Park for around five hours each day with your experienced guide.

Spend the night at a campsite amongst nature. Jump in for a swim in the lake and cool off after the day exploring. Fall asleep to the birdsong and water trickling down the stream. Thermals, dry bags, paddles, kayaks, cooking equipment, hot drinks, maps and lifejackets are all provided.
