Kayak the crystal blue waters of Abel Tasman

The Abel Tasman National Park is an outdoor adventurer’s dream. A coastal paradise featuring granite and marble rock formations. Are you ready to discover the golden beaches, tranquil coves and breathtaking islands of Abel Tasman National Park by kayak?

Together with an experienced and knowledgeable guide, you will start with a scenic water taxi ride into the heart of the Abel Tasman National Park - New Zealand's smallest national park.

Paddle over the coastline and Tonga Island Marine Reserve. Along the way, keep a lookout for playful dolphins, blue penguins and admire the antics of the New Zealand fur seals. You will have the chance to enjoy the Kekeno on Bark Bay, who call the island home.

Discover sheltered islands and caves, and experience the magic of the Astrolabe Islands. After lunch, you will swap your paddle for hiking shoes. Walk along clear streams, discover native bush and enjoy the views over Anchorage and the Astrolabe. At the end of the tour, you will return to Marahau by water taxi.
